COSRX has recently started offering products with retinol, a vitamin A derivative that has been clinically proven to reduce the signs of aging but can also be harsh on skin.
The best way to see if retinol is right for you is to start with a gentle cream like this one. It contains a low percentage of retinol (0.1%), so it is good for beginners. It also contains panthenol (vitamin B5), tocerpherol (vitamin E) to moisturize and soothe skin, thereby counteracting any retinol irritation.
Once a tolerance has built up, stronger products can be used, such as COSRX The 0.5% Retinol Serum.

After cleansing, toning and essence steps, apply a few small dabs onto face and gently pat in. Use a few times a week at first, to build up tolerance.
To counteract any harshness, pair retinol with soothing or moisturizing products. Do not pair retinol with vitamin C or AHA/BHA acids as these combinations can be too harsh on skin.
If used in the daytime, follow up with a sunscreen. Always patch test first.
