Combination skin can be tricky - it can produce too much oil and is breakout prone, especially around the nose and forehead, yet needs hydration to address dryness in other areas like cheeks.

What to do?

It is important to balance oil production in combination skin, yet provide it wth the hydration it needs to stay in balance. 

Choose products that are non comedogenic, which means they won't clog pores.

And look for ingredients that can control skin's oil production, like tea tree oil, green tea extract, honey/propolis, niacinamde and salacylic acid -- they are anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, to keep breakouts at bay.

And look for hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid, adenosine, and panthenol.

Gel formulations can be really helpful to prevent pore clogging - these are water-based moisturizers without a lot of heavier oils and emollients.
